BMW E36 Rear Trailing Arm Pocket Reinforcement Plates

The BMW E36 Rear Trailing Arm Pocket Reinforcement Kit is a weld-in steel reinforcement set designed to strengthen the rear trailing arm mounting pockets on BMW E36 and E36 M3 chassis.

Manufactured from 3 mm steel, these reinforcement plates are designed to reinforce high-stress areas around the rear trailing arm mounting points, helping reduce the risk of cracking, deformation and structural fatigue.

The BMW E36 rear trailing arm pockets are subjected to repeated suspension and cornering loads. Over time, particularly on vehicles used for drifting, track driving or other demanding motorsport applications, these mounting areas can develop cracks or weakened metal.

This kit provides additional structural reinforcement around the trailing arm mounting pockets and can be used for preventative strengthening or as part of a professional repair of existing chassis damage.

The reinforcement components are precision laser-cut and CNC-bent for consistent manufacturing accuracy.

All reinforcement plates require welding to the chassis before the rear trailing arms are reinstalled.

Installation Information:

Welding is required. This is not a bolt-on reinforcement kit.

The steel reinforcement plates must be positioned and welded to the rear trailing arm mounting pockets before the trailing arms are installed or reinstalled on the vehicle.

The rear trailing arms and associated components should be removed as necessary to allow proper access, inspection, preparation and welding.

Before installation, inspect the mounting pockets and surrounding chassis structure for cracks, corrosion, deformation and previous repairs.

Any existing cracks or structural damage must be properly repaired before reinforcement plates are welded into position. Welding plates directly over unrepaired cracks is not an adequate structural repair.

Professional installation by an experienced automotive fabricator or qualified welder is strongly recommended.

Important: This kit reinforces the rear trailing arm mounting pockets on the chassis. It does not reinforce the removable trailing arms themselves and is not a rear subframe mounting reinforcement kit.
